Spent the night with my big brother, Dana,and my boys. Then went to Brody's last football game. My sister Jenny got married at this Friday. She said she would never, and I mean never get married, but she finally met a great guy and they got hitched. We are so excited for her and Dennis. My nephew Brett was very excited to get a step-dad. I didn't get many pictures because I guess my battery is old and needs to be replace. It would keep turning off. I was lucky if it would stay on to get any pictures. So frustrating. But it was a wonderful day!

4th of July weekend

We went to San Angelo July 3rd for Chad's friend Big Jon's wedding. It was actually in Christoval but nobody's probably heard of that. Then we shopped the next day in Angleo and met up with Andrew and Hannah who were also in town. Then drove all the way back home in time to drive to Comanche and go to our friends Cody and January's house to watch fireworks. Their yard is right next to where the shoot the fireworks so we had a front row seat. Chad took like a million pictures of the fireworks. I told him to just watch and enjoy but he had to take a picture of almost every one. He's so goofy, but that's my Chato for you! A long a busy weekend, but a really fun one.

We moved.....again

Well we just got all moved into our duplex. It is so nice to have our own place again. The place is super small but has brand new tile and carpet, so it will work till we can find a house. We don't have internet yet so it might be awhile till I can blog again, but I hope it won't be to long. I am so tired of moving. I moved to San Angelo when we got engaged, then we moved into an apartment when we got married, then to Pecos for a year, then into a hotel in Levelland for a month, then a house in Whiteface for 3 months, then to the in-laws house for four months and now to our duplex in Early. Not to mention how many times I've moved before I was engaged. Oh well, at least I've had places to live!

What we've been up to...

First, we went to see Chris, Chad's little brother, graduate from ASU. Congrats Chris! Then we went to eat at a Japanese steak house (thank goodness I was feeling good enough to eat!).
Then the next weekend I went to Decatur and me, my mom, Ricky, Ben, and Grump went to Dallas to see Fiddler on the roof. It starred Topol, the man who originated the role and starred in the movie. It was his farewell tour, and it was amazing!!!! I forgot to get pictures, I wasn't thinking clearly. Thanks again mom, it was awesome! Then Chad met me in Plano where we celebrated his cousin Lexi's birthday. And the next day we went baby shopping! Well baby looking since we don't know what to buy for. It was such a great time with our families, God has really blessed us with some amazing loved ones! Oh yeah, I got my hair chopped off too.

Update on Chad's Mom

Laura had her full body scan and it showed that the tumor by her liver has totally disapeared, and several around her spleen have shrunk. Halleluia, God answers prayers. I know she's not totally healed but the doctors weren't sure if the chemo would work at all so this is wonderful news! Thank you to everybody that has been praying for her, please keep it up!

Sorry I haven't posted any new stuff, Chad lost our camera cord thing to get our pictures from Easter. Hopefully we will find it soon, if not, I guess we will have to buy one. Friday and Saturday, Chad's aunt, uncle, two cousins and new baby cousin came to Brownwood, so it was great visiting with them. Then we went to my parent's house in Decatur on Saturday. Went to church Sunday morning and went home to watch the kids hunt easter eggs. It was so much fun. Hopefully pictures of the weekend will be posted soon!

On Saturday I went to Payton's game for a little bit, then went to Chad's friend Clint's fiance's bridal shower. Sorry, that was a mouthful. I totally forgot to take pictures at the shower, that is so not like me. But the lady took my purse and I forgot to get the camera. Then that night we went to the Buckmaster's banquet. We got a steak dinner and they had raffles and auctions on guns and bows, and things like that. My big brother would have loved it. It was redneck heaven and so much fun. We went with Cody and January, our new friends from Comanche. Chad and Cody work together. We had a great time hanging out and getting to know eachother.

Andrew and Hannah stopped through Brownwood on their way to Decatur. They are going on their honeymoon in Jamaica this week. So lucky! Laura and I have been in Temple since Tuesday morning for her chemo treatments. She has to go tomorrow morning for a final shot then we get to go home. Please keep praying for Laura because she's about to get pretty sick for a week or so. Last time we stayed with Andrew and Hannah, this time we are staying with Laura's brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Ann. Good luck to Chad's cousin Abbey who is playing in the state tourney for basketball tonight!

We started out going to Decatur to see my family. We just hung out at mom's and relaxed. We then went to IKEA, but then mom got sick, so Ben had to take her home (poor mommy!). Chad's Uncle Robert and Aunt Judy took us to lunch and his cousin Leslie and her boyfriend Micheal took us to dinner. The next day we went to visit Miss Isabella, who is growing like a weed! Then we went to the Stars/Penguins game. My friend has played for the penguins all season, so we were so pumped to see him play, but two days before he lets me know that he got moved back down! What luck huh? And we didn't even get to see Sindney Crosby play because he was hurt! But we did get to see Malkin and Fluery of Pittsburgh, and Modano and Sydor of dallas! I love hockey players....er, um, hockey. I love hockey! What a great weekend.

Well, today Brownwood was the hottest spot in Texas, the mid 90's. A man from the moving company came today to see our stuff that got damaged and I opened the door for him and my mom-in-law's terrier got out and ran. I chased him all over the streets of Brownwood. I looked like Ferris Bueller running through people's yards and alleys in my jeans and flip flops. The man was also helping me try to corner him, bless his heart. And you all know how I hate to exercise, so I about hyperventilated after sprinting for 10 minutes in the heat!
Now to Chad's story, he was out in the field and there was a bull out there. He started hoofing up dirt so Chad and the other guy took off running in a dead sprint (in their jeans and boots)for about 100 yards till they made it back to the truck. Aren't animals fun?

Life in Bwood

Well we are still looking for a place to live. We have an appointmet to look at two houses in Comanche today. We really wanted to get a house in Brownwood, but the houses are a lot cheaper in Comanche. We are just checking out all our options. Keep us in your prayers that we will find a place to live soon! And that the salon will be open soon so I can start working. I spend my days taking Shiner and Oreo outside to pee and watching them sleep. At least now Payton has baseball games so I have something else to do. Not that I'm complaining, because there will come a day when I have kids and never get to sleep in again! I also just started going to a bible study with my mom-in-law Cindy at her church. It's a Beth Moore study of Esther. I'm really enjoying it. And Chad is liking his job, but nobody will replace Jack in Pecos, or Landon in Morton.

Well, in case you haven't heard, we are moving once again. Since Chad's mom's cancer has come back, we asked to be transferred closer to her. We really didn't think we would get it because the NRCS doesn't usually do that. We we were wonderfully surprised when we found out Chad will be working in Comanche, which is about 30 miles from Brownwood. And I already have a job at a brand new salon and spa. God is good! He definately answered our prayers. Hopefully we will find a house soon! I got to Brownwood today because I am taking Laura to her chemo in Temple for the next three days, Chad is coming next weekend. We will keep yall updated.

We went to Decatur first and most of my siblings and nieces and nephews came over. Then the next day we went to my Gaga and Papaw's for Thanksgiving lunch, played some games and took some pictures. Here I am singing the national anthem at the Pecos Rodeo. Pecos is the where the world's first rodeo was held. One of the very few cool things about Pecos. I also sang a week before at Pecos's annual golden girl pagent and made the newspaper. Woohoo!

What a year it has been. They say the first year of marriage is one of the toughest, but ours was pretty easy (and that's even with us moving to Pecos). I know we haven't been at this very long, but God has truly blessed us with a wonderful marriage. And we will continue to work hard at it! We went to Midland for dinner, Chad surprised me with flowers and Reese's peanut butter cups, and I made him biscuits and chocolate chip cookies (both from scratch, thank you very much!). What a great anniversary it has been. We are fixing to eat the to of our wedding cake! Sorry, for some reason it won't let me upload some pictures.

We had a great time with Chad's family. We had a surprise birthday party for Chad's mom Laura. We went fishing at the ranch, decorated eggs at Memaw's (I made Chad do it and he had fun), went to Memaw's church, hunted eggs in the house because it was so cold (I haven't hunted eggs in like 12 years), and then got our teeth cleaned by my father-in-law! We're always going and going, but we have a blast with family!

Family Visit

My mom, Ricky, Pop, Grump, Dana, Brody, Brac, Kalie, and Ben all came to Pecos to visit us. We went to Ft. Davis and Carlsbad Caverns. We had a blast! I am blessed to have a family that loves me enough to come to Pecos to see me. Thanks family, your the best!

Well Ben's off to ASU. Following in our footsteps. Well, hopefully he will do better in college than we did. San Angelo isn't quite as exciting as Spain but hopefully Ben will like it ok. I can't believe my little brother is in college! I'm old:(

Well I've got all my decorations up and most of my presents bought and wrapped. I love Christmas time, I just wish I was closer to my family right now. But that's ok , I'll get to see them soon enough, and then Ben will be home from Spain! Wonder what he's going to bring me. Just kidding, I would rather give presents. That's the funm part. I just wish I had the money to do it right. Oh well, I guess it's the thought that counts. Of course presents at Christmas are just a symbol and a reminder about the ulitmate gift that God gave us, his son who died on the cross for our sins. That's the best gift. Remeber, it's not about Santa Clause and presents. Jesus is the reason for the season! Merry Christmas!

Pheasant Hunt

Chad went on his first pheasant hunt this weekend up near Lubbock. I hope I'm spelling pheasant right. He had a great time with his friend Chris from San Angelo. Looks like they had fun!

Thanksgiving in Brownwood!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Memaw's house (what delicious food!). We ate ourselves sick. My parents came in on Friday and Chad took Ricky and the men hunting and I took my mom and the ladies shopping. It was such a great time to visit and fellowship with our families. Well most of the time (if Chad wasn't asleep snoring on the floor that is). Can't wait till Christmas!

Halloween!

We went to the Social Lodge, I was a pirate and Chad was a golfer. We danced the night away and met some really nice people. Happy Halloween!

Chad's Weekend Review

Well we had a great time in Austin as always. We played golf at a different course everyday. I didn't play well this year, but I had fun! I'll just say this, "What happens in Austin, stays in Austin."

Jessie's Weekend Review

Well I went to Decatur to visit my family and I had a wonderful time. My nephew Brac and I spent a whole day together and had a blast. Then my sister-in-law Dana and I met my cousin Jill in Ft. Worth where we went out to eat at MiCocina and then went to 8.0s. Then Sat. morning we all (Mom, Ricky, Brody, Brac, and Dana) went to Brett's soccer game. They won! Then him and Jenny came over for lunch. So did Pop and Grump, Fred, and Chris and Bridget, Jill and Abel (what a precios baby!). Then I spent the evening with Jennifer and Jake (another precious baby!). Now I have to go back to Pecos. I had the best time with my family (I miss my mom already) but I can't wait to see my husband!

I'm so lucky to have such a handy man! We finally get to use our new grill since we have a house. Wish we could grill out with our family and friends but we live in the middle of nowhere so nobody wants to come and visit us. But thats ok I'm here visiting my family since Chad is going to Austin to play golf this weekend.

Hey everyone. Pecos is going well. Chad is loving his job and I have been unpacking and cleaning and organizing our new home. That's pretty much all there is to do in Pecos. But we are making the best of it. Sorry still no new pictures. Coming soon.

Pecos, TX.....We're Here!

Well we made it to Pecos last night. Our new house is very cute. It's a two bedroom with brand new carpet and tile. We had to stay the night in a motel though because our electricity wasn't turned on. Thanks to everyone who helped us get moved, Laura, Chris, Payton, Andrew, Chad's friend Rick, and Chris's friend Rocky. Oh and Rocky's grandma lives next door so we already know a neighbor! It seems like a nice town with nice people. But they are the Pecos Eagles so I feel a little more at home. I've only cried once when we were driving through Odessa. Chad's cried a few times though. Just kidding, he's really liking his job. We will post pictures of our house and Pecos really soon!

Me and Chad went to my friend Hallie's wedding. She looked so pretty. We had a great time at one of our last events in San Angelo! Then we just went home and goofed around. That's our favorite thing to do though, just being silly together. Well Chad is silly not me of course.

We are still looking for a place to live in Pecos, so I'm still in San Angelo and Chad is living in a roach motel during the week. Hopefully we find a place to live soon. Keep checking back.....maybe we'll have pictures of our new house!

The Newlyweds!

Well we've been married about 2 1/2 months now and things are going great! Our wedding went pretty much perfect (thanks everyone who helped!), and our honeymoon was a blast!!! Chad just got a wonderful job with the NRCS and he will be doing soil conservation and stuff like that. But we have to move to Pecos, TX. I guess that was the for better or worse part everyone was talking about, because believe me Pecos is the worst. Well it just looks that way, everyone we've met is really nice and helpful so maybe it won't be to bad. We've got each other so I guess that's all that matters!
